MICROGRID DROP-IN SESH
Monday, April 20, 2020
How often do you stop to think about what happens after you flip a light switch? Turn on a washing machine? Open the fridge door? We rely on electricity for so many things. What do you do if there's a power outage? And what if the power outage lasts longer than you're prepared for? Enter: Microgrids! A technology that provides reliable electricity to a set of buildings in the event of an outage. A microgrid disconnects from the power grid and has its own source of energy generation so your lights stay on and you can charge your phone.
Thank you to the Cambridge Public Library for their support!
