ShannonLee Mission
Executive Director
ShannonLee Mission (she/her) is Climable’s Executive Director. In this role, Shannon oversees all aspects of the organization's operations, from program development and fundraising to financial management. She works closely with the entire team to guide progress and growth. With a robust background in nonprofit leadership, Shannon has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive impactful decision-making while engaging with the community to achieve shared goals and tackle challenges effectively. Her expertise extends to the development, implementation, and monitoring of DEI strategies and initiatives, fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all.
Shannon holds two Master’s Degrees in Education and enjoys moments spent with her husband and two grown children, exploring new experiences and embracing fresh opportunities together.
Elena Gonzalez-Sosto
Program Director
Elena Gonzalez-Sosto (she/they) leads clean energy accessibility programs and provides guidance on engineering, energy, and sustainable development aspects of projects, through a lense of social justice and policy making. She develops guides for communities to implement community microgrid projects. Originally from Costa Rica, where she studied and worked as a civil engineer in public infrastructure projects, private real estate development, and customer support.
Elena holds a MSc in Engineering and Public Policy from Northeastern University and a Licensure degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. During her time as a grad student at Northeastern University, she worked as a Co-op at the Boston Planning and Development Agency as a Development Review Co-op. Elena enjoys gardening, learning new crafts, and spending time with her family.
maisy rohrer
Senior Program Manager
Maisy Rohrer (she/her) leads Climable’s community and youth engagement, and educational programming. She also leads or supports aspects of strategy, development, and operations. Prior to her time at Climable, Maisy worked for the Michigan Public Service Commission as a renewable energy researcher and as a freelance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion consultant for natural resource management agencies. She has experience with community organizing and engagement and a background in social science research.
Maisy holds an MS in Environmental Policy and Environmental Justice from the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability, and a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from New York University. Maisy enjoys spending her free time with friends, family, and pets, walking, hiking, reading, and crafting.
Jessica Podkalicki
Development and Program Manager
Jessica Podkalicki (she/her) manages grants and other fundraising tasks, leads programs, and manages and supports event planning.
Jessica started her nonprofit journey at a local environmental justice nonprofit in Brooklyn, formally known as Neighbor Allied for Good Growth, and now called North Brooklyn Neighbors. Since then, Jessica worked for a number of local nonprofits throughout the Boston Metro area and New York City, focusing on fundraising, development, and program work.
Jessica holds a MPA in Public Administration from John Jay College and a BA in Political Science from Hunter College. In her free time, Jessica loves to craft, spend time outside with friends and her cat, read, walk, and check out local breweries.
Katherine Spencer
Program Operations Specialist
Katherine Spencer (she/her) oversees Climable’s organizational operations including financial and administrative operations. Katherine also works out of her Saxonville, MA art studio, making assemblages and textile paintings out of string, household objects, and studio detritus. She has exhibited work in group and solo shows in Maryland, Massachusetts, and New York, and was a resident at the Vermont Studio Center. She received a Post-Bacc in Fine Arts from Brandeis University. She graduated from Yale University in 2007 with a BA in Classics.
Since 2022 she has been the curator and director of a non-commercial art space, The Tender, in West Concord, MA. The Tender aims to reverse the abysmal trends documented by the Guerilla Girls. It enjoys highlighting work by women, artists of color, and other artists whose excellent work might be less visible than it ought to be. She lives in Concord, MA, where she is often chasing after her two young kids, pulling invasives, researching local history, feeding chickens, cooking, watching children's television, or trying to relax.
