Building Future Leaders

Climable is proud to educate and train the next generation of leaders in the energy and nonprofit sectors. Our internship, co-op, and fellowship programs have become a key part of our work and impact over the years.

Why We’re Different

Climable offers immersive experiences in topics like communications, project management, writing, education, nonprofit operations and management, graphic design, stakeholder engagement, climate justice, and more. We help interns build skills and make a difference. These internship programs are unique; after training and onboarding, we give interns independent work, autonomy, and the real ability to shape our projects and make a difference. We work hard to include professional development and networking opportunities for all of our interns.

We’ve hosted a diverse cohort of interns over the years, including high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as non-students interested in transitioning their careers into the clean energy field. We’re proud to provide accessible internship and fellowship opportunities for non-students in the energy and nonprofit industry. We’ve also welcomed many interns who have never worked in the industry before since knowledge about energy is something we can teach. And finally, we work hard to expand opportunities by reducing barriers to internship programs. We seek to expand the pipeline for BIPOC and other historically marginalized groups. We work hard to make our programs available to a broad range of candidates. In 2023 alone, we welcomed 19 interns! Moving forward, we’re working to expand access to non-students.
