Hey hivemind, we’ve been buzzing with anticipation for this latest series: a deeper dive on bees! The sweet news? Our speaker at soup supper on October 3rd will be discussing the impacts of climate change on these itsy bitsy pollinators. Gearing up for it we’ll be doing a series on the honey-makers of the world. First up, hive telemetry!
This is the third in our series on talking about climate change. We’ve learned that it’s important and necessary(!) and that there are different ways to communicate the science (like rad art!). This week, we talk to someone whose job it is to communicate to a variety of audiences to make meaningful change on the sustainability front.
Fossil fuels aren’t just bad for the environment. They’ve arguably made their multinational companies richer while exacerbating social injustices and negatively impacting health and well-being in vulnerable populations. Energy democracy looks to reverse this narrative as it redistributes power by resisting the status quo and reclaiming and reconfiguring energy infrastructure.
